As you are part of the “Raizes da Lusofonia” family we could not leave you out of this event!
We are organising a “GALA PARTY RAIZES DA LUSOFONIA & FRIENDS” on the 08th December 2012 and would like you to join us in this celebration. The event will take place at “Casa do Semba”, Camberwell, check the venue on Facebook, from 18:30pm till late. Tickets costs £15.00 and include dinner (buffet) and disco. We have very few tickets and they are going fast so if you want to be part make sure you get yours NOW.

Primeira Festa Raizes da Lusofonia em Londres - Maio 2010
O grupo Raizes da Lusofonia esta de parabens!
A primeira grande festa dos P.L.O.P. em Londres (Paises de Lingua Oficial Portuguesa) aconteceu no ultimo Sabado, 29 de Maio, e foi um sucesso! Este evento de solidariedade foi realizado com o intuito de angariar fundos para ajudar as criancas mais necessitadas dos paises lusofonos e contou com a presenca de cerca de 150 pessoas, que para alem de contribuirem grandiosamente para a causa, puderam saborear diversos pratos tradicionais dos P.L.O.P., dancar ao ritmo das musicas tradicionais e conhecer/recordar as tradicoes destes paises. As criancas estiveram fantasticas e mostraram que apesar de estarem longe das raizes, o sangue nao engana e as dancas tradicionais foram muito bem representadas! Os mais velhos tambem foram exemplares, dando o seu melhor na confeccao dos mais gostosos sabores tradicionais: Cachupa de Cabo Verde, Bacalhau com Natas de Portugal, Feijoada a Brasileira, Funge de Angola, Banana com Molho de Bacalhau de Sao Tome, entre outros deliciosos pratos!
Aos que estiveram presentes um MUITO OBRIGADO pelo apoio dado nesta primeira grande iniciativa do grupo. Se nao foi desta que conseguiste participar fica a promessa de novos eventos para breve!!! A reportagem do evento estara disponivel brevemente!

Congratulations to the group Raizes da Lusofonia!
The first big P.L.O.P. party in London (Portuguese Speaking Countries) was held on Saturday, May 29, and was a success! This event was held in solidarity with the aim of raising funds to help children in need from the Portuguese language speaking countries and had the presence of nearly 150 people, which in addition to contributing greatly to the cause, could enjoy a variety of traditional P.L.O.P. food, dance to the rhythm of traditional music and learn/remember the traditions of these countries. The kids were fantastic and showed that despite being away from the roots, blood does not stick and the traditional dances were very well represented! The adults also gave their best in the elaboration of the best traditional flavors: Cachupa from Cape Verde, Cod with Potatoes and Cream from Portugal, Brazilian's Bean Stew, Funge from Angola, Banana with Cod Sauce from Sao Tome, among other delicious dishes!
To those who attended a BIG THANKS for the support given to this initiative. If you could not attend, we promise new events soon...
